How is this Smallmouth Bass Alive? Cormorant Attack? Snapping Turtle?

I landed this fish and it had a giant wound on it's back, at the time I had no idea but after doing a bit of research it appears to be a Cormorant bird bite. Leave a comment on what you think might have left a wound like this.
