Planted Freshwater Aquarium - Dry Start Method

A wonderful method of starting a freshwater planted tank is to plant heavy ground covering plants and allowing them to fill in the tank for 4 to 6 weeks before adding water. The tank is covered with plastic film thereby keeping the humidity close to 100%.
