and you use first the sign of the cross over your book. Then pray a small binding prayer over it every time you open it up do get direction

Prayer: "Sign of the cross and bless the book in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Then say " I bind any lying, beguiling , hindering, seducing spirits off this book and plead the blood of Jesus over this. Holy Spirit I want your truth." Then open it up to see what the Lord has to say concerning what you were asking him.
