Communication with God – Confession

Confession is saying the same thing. In confession, we are verbally agreeing with God that our actions are contrary to His standard for us. Agreeing that we are sinning is the first step in restoring our relations with God. If, perhaps, we should confess our sins, He is faithful and just in order that He should send away our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. – 1 John 1:9
