50 Cent Net Worth. What Happened to His Fortune?
50 Cent Net Worth. What Happened to His Fortune?
At the elevation of his fame, Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson was said to be worth an estimated 155 million after his tax obligation, in accordance with Forbes' yearly Hip Hop's Most affluent Musicians list. He'd gotten on the exact same list every year since its beginning in 2007.
But What Happened Next You Simply Won't Believe.
A copyright lawsuit, several lawsuit fights and inadequate business financial investments plummeted his total assets by a massive 200 million, compeling him into personal bankruptcy with a financial obligation of 32.5 million.
Although 50 Cent, or Curtis Jackson as he would certainly remain in court, claims that filing for personal bankruptcy in 2015 was "calculated" and a safety move after he was met with a 5 Million legal action for launching a sex tape featuring his rap rival Rick Ross' ex-girlfriend without her approval, we aren't so certain our team believes him.
He declared that he really felt he had a bulls eye on his back where individuals would certainly take advantage of his wide fame and notoriety by filing a claim against him without cause, or using him as a cash cow.
Filing for personal bankruptcy was his way of preventing any further assaults on his status and fame.
While Forbes approximated his total assets at 155 Million, Jackson's legal representative declared he just had 4.4 Million in his various financial institutions when the 5 Million legal action was submitted to him.
In the summer of 2016, Jackson was ordered to pay 17 Million to the sound equipment company, Sleek Sound and 6 Million to Lastonia Leviston, Abundant Ross' ex lover and the topic of the sex tape.
Whether his personal bankruptcy was smoke and mirrors or otherwise, the media still protected it as a legitimate personal bankruptcy and mismanagement of his incomes since his debut in the very early 2000s.
Curtis Jackson's, or 50 cent total assets is presently calculated at approximately 30 million. Like a lot of high total assets people in entertainment, he made his lot of money from being an American rapper, star, producer, and business owner. However, he shed quite a little the cash he made along the road.
