Jesus does not want his children beholden to the uncertainty of the world, but clearly seeing the world around them and able to live in its goodness. We must understand the charge of our lives to invest in our children, and teach them of Christ who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, as taught in John 14:6 saying “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
