Principles vs Preferences: When Making a Decision

In this series we discuss 12 barriers we’ve identified that can cause disruption when trying to communicate with your partner. In this video we go over the barrier of Principles vs. Preferences. Preferences are more fluid and malleable while principles are rigid and more difficult to change. We discuss how both principles and preferences can be broken down further into the simple vs. complex variety. This barrier is typically encountered during the decision making process and identifying which aspects are at play in the situation can help work through the barrier.
