Marcus Aurelius said
"I have often wondered how it is that every man loves himself more than all the rest of men, but yet sets less value on his own opinions of himself than on the opinions of others."
If there is one way to a mediocre life, it will come through worrying about the opinions of others too much. The Stoic Emperor Marcus Aurelius himself knew this? So why do we do it?
