On Friday, October 11th, 1963 Malcolm X was interviewed by University of California, Berkeley Sociology Professor John Leggett and Sociology Graduate Student Herman Blake. Malcolm X argued against racial integration and discussed the right for Black Americans to use violence to defend themselves against violent attacks by White Americans. He also discussed the nature of Islam. This program was courtesy of the Media Resources Center Collection at the University of California, Berkeley.
