Testing crazy trick to bring dead bass strings back to life. IT WORKS!

First and foremost, NOT MY IDEA! Simply testing on a bass the method shown by Scott Grove on a Dean Flying V acoustic guitar (what the???) on this YouTube video:

I've see plenty of products like fast fret, finger ease and even household cleaners aimed to get the gunk out of dead bass or guitar strings but nothing has ever worked as well as this simple and easy trick. It could save you a string change when you don't have a fresh set laying around. Sometimes less is more and the simply things really do help.
