Chicken Treats: Green Beans - Can you feed them?

Yes. You can feed green beans to chickens on 1 very important condition.
YOU MUST COOK THEM FIRST. It is imperative, that ANY bean be cooked thoroughly before feeding to chickens. Once cooked, they can be fed like any other food. It is harmful to them, to eat raw beans. I use the end pieces of my snap beans and set them aside. Instead of throwing them away - boil them separtely, let cool - then feed to your chickens. Put in a baggie in the fridge if not ready to feed right away.
