Today I felt the longevity of my journey towards the Heavenly Jerusalem. I meditated on how long it has been, where I have come from, the things I was delivered from and more. My mind's eye panned through the decades of my life and saw fleeting glimpses like driving in car through the land of my past. I felt a sense of my own humanity, and time on earth in my growing years.

I began think of what this path has been. My mind remembered something Hannah Whitall Smith said in her book called, "The Christian's Secret of a Happy Life." She said, "The Highway of Holiness is not a place but a way."
I began to think about children, how Jesus told His Disciples who argued among themselves who would be the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Jesus took a little child and said, "Unless you be converted and become like little children you cannot enter the kingdom of heaven."

I thought about how busy we all become in things for the Lord. How in this earth we are fighting one war after another, trying, always trying to keep the engines running. All the while trying to get something from God to go another step, another day, another year. We do not realize that we have been in another way, on another path and there is no peace. Our exhaustion will bring us to His feet where He has been waiting the whole time. Becoming like little children is what keeps us in the way of His steps. The way of His peace.

If you are experiencing things too hard and heavy for you to carry, it is time to give it all to Him. He said He will take it off your hands. He will guide you in the right way, because He is the Way, the truth and the life....YOUR life. Time to become like a little child today and keep yourself as such. Your life might be hard but He has a way for you to go, and He will carry your burdens, and give you peace that ONLY He can give. "These words are true and faithful."
