Prayers Going Up, Paintings for 2020 by Laurie Maves ART

Contemporary Artist and Art Therapist, Laurie Maves (Guglielmi) created a series of 7 large contemporary intuitive paintings all based on prayers, light and ascension. After viewing the large scale works of Clyfford Still in Denver, Colorado in the fall of 2019, Laurie was inspired to create paintings that encouraged meditation. Each primary and secondary color (red, yellow, blue, green, purple, orange) served as the basis for each prayer painting. She hopes the viewers experience them as transformative and enlightening, and even possibly bringing one a sense of a closeness with eternity.
