This is a song for ANY American - black, white, man, woman, gay, straight, left, right, liberal, conservative, democrat, republican - who has ever felt frustrated with the forces the American people empower to influence public discourse. While we may not always agree on the identities of these forces of division, we are united by the fact that these forces have only as much power as WE THE PEOPLE give them. EVERY American has the power to effect change - it all starts with us! By appreciating the common threads that bind us while respecting our differences, I believe we make this nation stronger than it ever has been before.
