20210427 Impetus for Change - The Daily Summation

Are the facts surrounding modern day policing in the United States, a sign that change should be occurring in some major way or ways?

I can't see how.

If we look at the sheer number of interactions between law enforcement and the public at large, I see NOTHING that supports the idea that the VAST MAJORITY of them have ANY involved problems.

That can only mean that a SCANT MINORITY OF "transactions" between cops and everyday people have ANY sign of issues.

Of those, there are serious questions about who's responsible for the concerns.

Certainly police are AT LEAST partially the "ones to blame" in SOME of them.

Even so, considering the number of interactions, and the stress involved int their jobs, that should NOT be a surprise.

Add to that the fact that the situations where there's something even abnormal are NATIONWIDE, and the concern one should have--the apparent impetus for change--becomes even less visible.
