Remember last week I told you guys how my wife hates shopping and I love to shop so I so the grocery shopping.

Well sometimes I get into trouble because as my wife always points out “I don’t read labels”.

I have come home with some products that were less than desirable?

Here are a few things my wife actually spit out. Banana Twinkies, Garlic Spicy Pickles, Weird Cheese-its, Pineapple Cream Cheese.

Next I get into trouble for scrimping and buying generic?

Gain, Best Foods Real Mayonnaise, Philadelphia Cream Cheese, Jiffy Peanut Butter, V8 Tomato Juice, Cereal?

My Dewalt sawzall blades?

Many Professing Christians, about half, have bought into a generic god?

How could that be these ten were friends, they hung out together, You could barely tell them apart, they all spoke fluent Christian?

The problem was they wanted God on their own terms, they invented their own god, they settled for an imitation of the real God?

The real problem was they failed to establish a relationship with the real God.

The imitation god doesn’t require one, and that’s what was so appealing to them, a god on their terms. Never settle for an imitation, spend the money, establish a relationship with the real God, they’ll be no surprises in the end?
