Illinois passes a bill to bail out student loans and the House passed a bill that would give the Department of Health control of public and non-public schools. You didn't read about either of these before they passed. And it happens regularly. When bills are pushed through quickly with no time for legislators to review them forget about time for media to report on them. How do we get to better legislation and more transparency?
