South Africa's Clown Car Show: the ANC

As millions remain jobless, black African children die in pit latrines, education standards are lowered to 30 percent as a "passing grade," nearly 60 murders per day, broad daylight cash-in-transit heists, farm and rural murders and violence rampant, inept and under-resourced police, pervasive theft of state resources, patronage and various other failures mark the near three decades of ANC-ruled South Africa, the party today is eating itself.

Ignoring its incompetence in dealing with a pandemic, and eying the event as another chance to loot an pilfer, the ANC has betrayed the liberation movement. Much like its kith and kin in Zimbabwe (ZANU-PF), the ANC is all about "it's our turn to eat" and will use any resource or excuse to do so.

With the suspension of Secretary General Ace Magashule publicly exposing the internal chaos within the ANC, one has to wonder how the party survives this October's municipal elections.
