Deep in the Alberta Foothills, roam hundreds of Wild Horses. One of the common fates for a Wild Horse, is falling into deep spots in the thawing muskeg bogs.

This short video covers the 45-minute rescue event to get her freed. She was looking well enough after the rescue for us to feel confident that she will survive the ordeal. Without the intervention, she would not have survived the night. This rescue was just west of the Town of Sundre, Alberta.
