DSG The Blossoming Trees

The Spring Blossoming Trees. Each season we are filled with joy and energy when we see the blossoms open up on the trees. What are some of these trees that bring us so much joy? In my video, I speak briefly on three popular beauties. Not only are they beautiful but they offer a bit of history to America. The Cherry Blossom Tree started as a gift from Japan planted in Washington DC in 1912, the Dogwood is a long withstanding tree here in America and was a favorite of George Washington and Thomas Jefferson, as they were both passionate gardeners and used the dogwood in many of their landscapes. The Flowering Pear was brought over to America in the early 1900’s as a hybrid production project. While we all enjoy the beauty they offer it is also fun to look at them as part of our rich history in early Americana. Hugs in the soft shades of blossoms. Debra
