20210519 Leaning Left and Right - The Daily Summation

Watching things for more than fifty years (granted, less than forty of that as an adult), I can tell that from my viewpoint, those on the left politically, have veered SUBSTANTIALLY away from their position a comparatively short time ago.

Funnily, many on the right side of the aisle, have NOT moved further right. Instead, most of them have moved LEFTWARD.

What all of this means is, in a period of around MY LIFETIME, I've watched as things became more and more perilous.

You literally can look at things happening in the fifties and sixties, and see people in the not-so-conservative camp, getting ready to punch through the side rails, and off the cliff.

Sadly, this is truer than I'd like for those with whom I share something in common.

I use as an example, a Leftist ICON in the United States, Mr John Fitzgerald Kennedy. I urge you to look back at his policies and his speeches. You'll certainly find he's to the right of MANY SUPPOSEDLY ON THE RIGHT in the modern day.
