African Cichlid - Mbuna Breeding Behavior

3/28/2021. My male (black and white) and female (yellow and white) Auratus cichlid preparing to lay and fertilize eggs. Typically, if you see this type of behavior from your African cichlids, and they aren't the same sex, then most likely the female will be holding fertilized eggs in her mouth soon after. If they are the same sex, they might just be fighting 🤷‍♂️
