Severum lip locked

In this video you will see our Gold Severum and Red Gold Severum are lip locked in a pre-breeding behavior. I have learned from other sources that this behavior could be attributed to mating. Although, I will say that this behavior in other fish species, or even in severums COULD also be signs of aggressive between two fish that don't like each other! In fact, this Red Gold severum had to be quarantined from a bad ick outbreak immediately after this took place. The two severums spent 2 full days displaying this lip locking behavior.
