The Off-the-Grid Smart Home of the Future, Not Actually Off of It, and It is Way More Expensive Too

The whole point of an off the grid home is to actually have it off of the grid producing and storing enough electricity for that to actually be the case. Now though, it is being mandated by building codes and laws that they are still connected to the grid. Not only that, it is also being mandated these homes are part of the smart grid, allowing for things like your solar panels to be controlled remotely. Which all of this does come at an additional cost well above and beyond those associated with off the grid living.

That being said, we are now seeing “off-the-grid” housing being pushed for suburban housing using “climate change” as the boogieman to do so. Companies are taking full advantage of this too. So is the Legacy Media which has basically become advertisers for them.
