Teach them their name!

It’s going to be hard to teach your puppy how to do anything if they don’t know when they’re supposed to look at you. Whenever your puppy is looking away, say their name. If they look at you (even if it’s just because you made noise), give them a treat and some praise. Do this regularly throughout the first few days that you have your pup and they’ll pick up on their name soon.
