Drivers who use the controlled-access lane and split lanes

This video is a compilation of dashcam videos showing drivers on the controlled-access lane. It also shows motorcyclists splitting lanes.

Lane splitting is when a motorcycle rides between lanes or rows of slow moving or stopped traffic that is moving in the same direction. In Texas motorcycle riders are not allowed to split lanes.

Additionally, there are limited permitted reasons to drive on the limited-access lane (shoulder) on in-city highways. Usually, you will be ticketed if you get caught by an officer driving on the shoulder.
