Exiles in a foreign land?

1Pe 1:17 And if you call on the Father, who without respect of persons judges according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

A “Born Again Christian” at the moment of conversion becomes a resident of Heaven, thus the earth is no longer our home, we don’t belong here.

I agree I want no part of this world and am ready to move on, to go home.

1Pe 2:11 Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;

We have entered into a spiritual war, we are to be about the Lords work and the demonic host will fight us every step of the way?

The demonic host will do everything in their power to harm us and any sin you get tangled up in gives them a legal right to do so.

That’s why Peter tells us “pass the time of your sojourning here in fear” and he goes on giving us a road map to follow that will help us along our path?

1Pe 3:8 Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:
1Pe 3:9 Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are there unto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.
1Pe 3:10 For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:
1Pe 3:11 Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.

Verse 8 tells us to let love guide us in this strange and evil land.

Verse 9 tells us to be a blessing to everyone, help those you can discover their spiritual path?

Verse 10 tells us to watch every word that comes out of our heart and passes through our lips, no loose idle words?

Verse 11 tells us to seek peace at all costs.
