Progress Virtually Never Comes from Marginalized Groups

A standard nostrum of modern progressivism is that change and progress throughout history come only through marginalized groups pushing against established institutions of power. We're so used to hearing this claptrap that it takes a bit of reflection to see that virtually no progress comes about this way.
