The Reality of Memorial Day

When I heard the marching band arrangement of this piece by Eric Whitacre, the imagery and impact of military sacrifice immediately suggested itself. It took several years of thinking about making this for it to come to fruition. I hope it helps people remember the reality behind Memorial Day, a day of sober reflection and compassion for those families affected by the loss of their loved one's sacrifice.
