Charley Patton-Tom Rushen Blues
2.75K
Charley Patton recorded this song about an event in Merigold, Mississipi.
Tom Rushing was the local sheriff in Merigold between 1928 and 1932. Paramount Records, the label which released this record, got Rushing's name wrong on the title.
This recording is taken from the JSP Records box set, Charley Patton: The Complete Recordings 1929-1934 and is used here with the permission of JSP Records.
