Why fireflies glow

In the body of fireflies certain substances are produced, which in interaction with oxygen begin to glow. It is noteworthy that fireflies breathe, but not with their lungs, as we do with you, but with special tubes - tracheas, through which the photogenic cells receive oxygen, so necessary for the oxidative processes occurring here.
