Mathias Clasen, Ph.D., is an associate professor and expert in the science of horror. He is director of the Recreational Fear Lab at Aarhus University, Denmark, and the author of many scientific and scholarly publications, including the book WHY HORROR SEDUCES (Oxford University Press, 2017). He is currently working on a book about the psychology of horror movies.
