God Burned Them Up

Nadab and Abihu were Aaron’s eldest sons. They helped their father with the official offerings , sacrifices and ceremonial worship of God. Numbers 26:59-61And the name of Amram's wife was Jochebed, the daughter of Levi, whom her mother bare to Levi in Egypt: and she bare unto Amram Aaron and Moses, and Miriam their sister.60 And unto Aaron was born Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar. 61 And Nadab and Abihu died, when they offered strange fire before the Lord. The sons of Aaron are mentioned along with the father fifteen times in Leviticus chapters 8 and 9. They did all that was expected of them and performed well evidently. They were not rebellious people. They did not cause any trouble. But something went terrible wrong. Not with God….He never changes but with Aaron’s sons. What was it? And what does it mean for us today?
