New York Jazz

Jazz arose between 1890 and 1910 in New Orleans.

It is relatively difficult to establish a definition for this musical style, but we can say that it is marked by improvisation, swing and non-linear rhythms.

Jazz has its roots in black American music shortly before 1850.

The popularization, however, took place in New York, now considered the jazz capital of the world.
