Easily Hack WPA2 WiFi with Wordlists
101
Most people use weak WiFi passwords when the configure their networks. Internet services providers usually set passwords that are secure, but impossible to remember. Users usually opt to change it to something easier to remember. You can find password lists on the internet containing billions of human made passwords. WPA2 WiFi is currently the most secure form of wireless encryption, but Aircrack-NG makes short work of weak passwords if you have a good wordlist.
On today's Ryzen 9 processors, you can calculate 1 Billion unique passwords in under 5 hours.
I've seen small GPU rigs push 120,000 keys per second
So, don't use weak passwords! This makes for a fun "party-trick" if you find out your friend has a weak wifi password :)
