Today we will be studying SCP-001: The Gate Guardian, Object class: Keter.

SCP-001 is a humanoid entity, approximately seven hundred cubits in height, with several luminous, wing-like appendages emerging from its shoulders, back, temples, ankles, and wrists.
The entity appears to be standing in front of a gate of immense proportions, holding a weapon resembling a sword (SCP-001-2), which emits flames at a temperature rivaling that of the sun. Any entity that approaches within 1 km of SCP-001 shall immediately be struck by its weapon and obliterated from existence. Attackers will be annihilated, regardless of range.

WARNING: It is believed that SCP-001 is capable of triggering a PATMOS XK-class end-of-the-world scenario.
