Battlezone: Combat Commander, pt.1 1/2

I played the original from Rebellion Software in the 90's.. it was an incredible re-envisioning of the arcade game from the 80's. Gone are the green wireframe graphics and replaced by pleasing textures and a combination of RTS and FPS gameplay, which was amazing not only for the time but still holds up pretty well today, in fact.

I played it using the best 3D accelerator hardware at the time; 3DFx Voodoo, which was untouched from competing companies like Matrox and ATi. The propriety software and hardware was well supported in the industry and it was not only generations ahead of it's competition - the visuals were fast and striking.
