John Hurley Thwarts a Cop Killer, Only to be Gunned Down By the Cops

Terrible story that highlights the idiocy of an officer's decisions, but do not let the heroics of John Hurley go unappreciated.

Ronaly Troyke went out with the expressed motivation to "Kill cops" in Arvada, Colorado. Unfortunately, he was successful in murdering Officer Gordon Beesley before John Hurley fired at this animal. In a turn of events that is not clear, the responding officers, to which we have no names of right now, gunned down Hurley in a case of "mistaken identity".

By all accounts Hurley was an amazing guy and I hope for justice for him. It goes to show you that the only way to stop a bad guy with a gun, is a good guy with a gun.
