A Hot Mess In Soda, SODA, June 27, 2021 - Shortly before 11 am on June 27, 2021, the driver of a red Chevy Silverado was west-bound on US-190 East (near Crystal Lake Road). The driver was pulling a travel trailer, that was pulling a pontoon boat (without a fifth wheel). The train started whipping as the driver lost control and left the pavement to the right. The travel trailer turned over on its side as the whole mess came to rest in a horse shoe shape. Troopers Donny Akers and Kevin Burman with the Texas Highway Patrol were dispatched to investigate and were assisted by Sergeant Adam Norris with the Polk County Sheriff's Office. Fortunately, there were no injuries. No citations were issued. Ken's Towing was summoned to clean up the mess.
