In contrast to idealism and realism, pragmatism emphasizes the notion of change. Applied to education, a pragmatic teacher should adopt to change, should appropriate what is new in terms of methodology and concepts. In this way, the teacher may be able to take advantage of new knowledge and impart them on the students.
