Understanding the Book of Revelation Pt 1 - Hilton Sutton

Hilton Sutton teaches the Book of Revelation in a way that is easy to understand. The central subject of the Book of Revelation is NOT the Anti-Christ, although the Anti-Christ is also revealed in the Book of Revelation.

The Book of Revelation is about Jesus.

It is about events that were, events that are and events that are to come. The Greek word for Revelation is Apokalupsis, which is where we get the word Apocalypse. So, you could call the Book of Revelation the Book of the Apocalypse.

The Apocalypse is not the Battle of Armageddon or the end of the world as we know it although those things are a portion of the Apocalypse.

The Definition of the word Apocalypse according to Strong’s Concordance is from the root “disclosure”. The word Apocalypse is used 18 times in the Bible. 12 times it is used as the word “Revelation”, 2 times as “be revealed”, once as “Manifestation” (You could call the Book of Revelation the Book of the Manifestation of Jesus Christ and it would not be inaccurate) the word Apocalypse is also used once as the word “coming” (The book could be called the “Coming of Christ” and it would not be inaccurate). Another time the word Apocalypse is used as the word “Appearing”, therefore it would not be inaccurate to title the Book of Revelation “The Appearing of Jesus Christ”

We are living in the most exciting time to be alive!

God knows the beginning to the end and the end to the beginning! Jesus said, when you begin to see all these things come to pass, LIFT UP YOUR HEAD, FOR REDEMPTION IS NEAR! YOU SHOULD NOT FEAR IF YOU HAVE GIVEN YOUR LIFE TO CHRIST AND TRUST HIM COMPLETELY AS YOUR LORD AND SAVIOR.

ARE YOU IN LOVE WITH THIS WORLD, TRYING TO SERVE TWO MASTERS? IF SO, YOU ARE LIKE THE FOOLISH VIRGINS IN MATTHEW 25!
