If you decide to trade or speculate, always consider the long term because regulatory uncertainty and market liquidity crisis may arise anytime. Note that trading and speculating are really difficult.

The most popular monetary assets in the world are the US dollar, Euro, and Bitcoin in that order. Bitcoin is the only one that will rise in value when central banks print money. Bitcoin is the strongest and most distributed asset brand in the world. It is also the best bet on a non-sovereign store of value.

Take a 10-year horizon to get the most benefit from your Bitcoin investment. Compare its growth prospects to that of Facebook, Google, and iPhone and you'll see the difference.

To know if Bitcoin is a monetary or an inflation hedge, compare the 10-year view of Bitcoin growing at 116% to gold (1.6%). This shows gold has not been serving as an inflation hedge in the past decade compared to Bitcoin.

NASDAQ rose by 18% as big techs are doing better than S&P, which is doing better than gold. Bonds are down by 11%, but Bitcoin is up by 277%. This shows Bitcoin is the investors' choice when central banks print money excessively.

Again, invest with a 10-year horizon in a strong asset that can serve as an inflation hedge or biotechnology that you are convinced of. If you'd like to trade, take about 20% of your money and speculate with it so that you still have 80% of your money when you get wiped out. But only trade with the money that you can afford to lose.
