Wild elephant emerges from forest and ‘greets’ couple inside car

A wild elephant emerged from the forest and ‘greeted’ a couple inside a car in northeastern Thailand.

Footage shows the jumbo wandering around a sedan stopped in a mountain road in Khao Yai National Park in Nakhon Ratchasima province.

The couple silently waited for the tusker to finish examining the car before it returned to the forest without leaving any damage.

Prapaporn Teanchai who sat inside the car with her boyfriend said: ‘We’re terrified at first but also fascinated by how lovely it was. Such a memorable moment. The jumbo greeted us.’
