Breaking it Down with Brittney - Flooding

FLOODING: After heavy rain of 2-7" fell in Wisconsin, roads have standing water on them and rivers are rising. A River Flood Warning has been issued for the Manitowoc River on 7/15/21. Meteorologist Brittney Merlot explains why the rivers continue to rise even after the rain has ended and the importance of never driving through flooded streets. Flooding is the number one killer when it comes to thunderstorm-related hazards. More than half of the flood-related deaths each year occur in vehicles.
