Should felons be allowed to own firearms?

This is my take on the second amendment and how the eighth amendment may apply to the laws that remove a felon's right for life for a crime that doesn't constitute a life sentence.

Remember I'm not an attorney or even really qualified for this conversation. I'm just someone who loves liberty and thinks that we should and have to fight for it on every front if we want to keep it, or in this case, take it back.
