They are one of the most iconic group of North America snakes due to the characteristic "rattle" found at the tip of the tail almost all reptiles including rattlesnakes, are Ectothermic cold-blooded.
Rattlesnakes are a group of venomous snakes of the genera Crotalus and Sistrurus of the subfamily Crotalinae. The name of Crotalus is derived from the Greek word "Krotalon" meaning Rattle or Castanet.
