Metasepia pfefferi, often known as the flamboyant cuttlefish, is a tropical Indo-Pacific cuttlefish that can be found off the coasts of northern Australia, southern New Guinea, and a number of Philippine, Indonesian, and Malaysian islands. This beautiful cephalopod's flesh contains unusual acids that make it unfit for human consumption.
