Lubber grasshopper

Even grasshoppers are bigger in Florida.

One probably should not pick up this multi colored grasshopper as it contains toxins. If one picks it up, it will make a loud hissing noise and secrete an irritating, foul-smelling foamy spray.
A large enough group of these cute grasshoppers can ruin an entire orange orchard.
And yes there is a reason why it has lubber in its name; the grasshopper is almost as lazy as the sloth. It cannot fly and does not like to move fast.
