Bonus Army riots - 1932

From the public domain files of the National Archives, here are scenes of the famous "Bonus Army Riots" in Washington, DC, where former soldiers protested to try and get government help during the Great Depression, but were cleared out by the DC Police and, eventually, US Army troops under General Douglas MacArthur.
