The History & Psychology of Genocide

END GENOCIDE NOW is a campaign that aims to enlighten people about the mechanisms and manuscripts of tyranny, as well as the remedies for sovereignty. We have invited powerful voices in the freedom movement together in a series of interviews.

This is the fifth episode: History and Psychology of Genocide

Freedom is probably the most revered value for all of us, a word which holds within it all of our birth rights. But how complete is our understanding of this word? How often we advocate for freedom with a hollow core? How many times our advocacy is followed with a silent whisper of our conscience - “aren’t you leaving someone out”?
In this panel we bring together the rights of animals and humans alike, and examine how the oppression of one inevitable leads to the oppression of another. Clare Mann and Mark Doneddu, prominent animal rights advocates in Australia, together with Henna Maria, explore the underlying causal factors of violence, and the psychological distortion which leads to blindness and apathy. Is the animal rights movement being hijacked? Is hatred of humans being purposefully implanted into modern vegan ideals? How can we pierce through cognitive dissonance?

Mark Doneddu is the founder and director of World Vegan Day Melbourne, one of the biggest vegan festivals in the world, president of Veg Vic, animal rights advocate, and nutritional coach for people transitioning into whole foods plant based diet.

Clare Mann is a vegan psychologist, speaker, existential psychotherapist, author of Vystopia - The Anguish of Being Vegan in a Non-Vegan World, animal rights advocate and communications trainer.
